According to the World Bank, the Dominican Republic was ranked as the country that has received the largest foreign direct investment (FDI) in the Caribbean. The flow of FDI to the Dominican Republic grew by 59% driven by increased investments in electricity, manufacturing and mining. Investment also increased in the manufacturing sector of free trade zones, in tourism and in real estate.

Steps to Incorporate a Company
Register the Commercial Name at the National Industrial Property Office (ONAPI).
Register the Legal Documents in the Local Chamber of Commerce and Production.
Request the National Taxpayer Registry (RNC).
For Companies that Carry out Industrial Processes, they must also obtain other registrations, such as: Industrial Registration granted by Pro-Industria, Sanitary Registration granted by the Ministry of Public Health and Social Assistance and Environmental Permit granted by the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources.
